Milena's Home Foundation - Milena Pavlovi\u0107 Barilli Gallery is an organization established in accordance with the Law on Obligations, Foundations and Funds. As the legal heir of Milena and Danica Pavlovi\u0107 Barilli, the Foundation owns movable and immovable property that was the property of our Danica, which is registered in the land register as the property of the Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In accordance with Art. 65 and 77 of the Law on Cultural Assets, the basic activity of the Foundation, which is classified under the code: 9102 (activities of museums, galleries and collections, which includes the work of museums of all kinds), is carried out in the Milena Pavlovi\u0107 Barilli Gallery, which, as a memorial museum type with the art fund, personal items of Milena Pavlovi\u0107 Barilli, Milena's library, family heritage and archival material, performs the tasks of protection, research, recording, collection, arrangement, publication and presentation of cultural assets - works of art of Milena Pavlovi\u0107 Barilli and family heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Foundation was established as a sign of gratitude and memory of Milena Pavlovi\u0107 Barilli, with respect to the will and wishes of her mother, Danica Pavlovi\u0107 Barilli, to donate the property she inherited from her parents and the art fund of her deceased daughter to the Serbian people and to preserve this legacy as a whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The foundation was established with the aim of collecting, processing, preserving, publishing and showing the artistic creation of Milena Pavlovi\u0107 Barilli to the public; to use and protect the copyrights arising from all of Milena's artistic creation, as well as the copyrights of her mother Danica and father Bruno Barilli; to help talented artists within the limits of its abilities and interests; to protect and preserve the immovable and movable property of the Foundation FOR ETERNAL TIMES AS THE GREATEST CULTURAL VALUE OF THE CITY OF POZAREVAC; as well as to preserve the memory of the donor, her ancestors and descendants, as well as of the great benefactors of the Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In February 1966, the Gallery was attached to the National Museum in Po\u017earevac, ait it worked within it until 1997. By the decision of the founder - City of Po\u017earevac, on February 28, 1997, the Gallery was separated from the National Museum and since then it has been operating as a new legal entity under its current name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In its fund, the Gallery has 894 works of art by Milena Pavlovi\u0107 Barilli, (136 oils, 51 pastels, 415 drawings, 286 tempera and watercolors, 6 graphics), 72 works from the collection of the Biennale and contemporary artists, 9 works from the family art collection, which totals 975 works. The listed works are recorded in the Inventory book of the Milena Pavlovi\u0107 Barilli Collection, the inventory book of contemporary art and the collection of family heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The movable property of the Foundation consists of personal belongings, a library (228 publications) and documentation and archival material of the members of the Pavlovi\u0107 and Barilli families, thus becoming a kind of information and documentation center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Foundation has its own Statute, which is adopted by the Foundation's Board of Directors, with the consent of the founder, and which governs the organization and way of working of the institution. The foundation operates according to the financial plan and work program adopted by the founder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The foundation preserves the memory of Milena and her ancestors by marking the anniversary of Milena's birth and death. Also, the one-year anniversary of the opening of the Milena Pavlovi\u0107 Barilli Gallery (June 24) is celebrated with special ceremonies, exhibitions and information in the media. In order to encourage artistic creativity, the Foundation organizes every second year an international art Biennale called \"In the light of Milena.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From January 31, 2007 the Foundation celebrates Saint Athanasius the Great, the former patron saint of the Pavlovi\u0107 family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
